REFUTAL OF INFORMATION PUBLISHED ABOUT TBS CONSULTING IN PREMIUN TIMES OF FRIDAY, 16TH OCTOBER, 2015

The recent publication by Premium Times Services Limited in their newspaper-PremiumTimes- about tbs consulting is a grand design to distort information about the ongoing reforms in Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC). The reforms that are being introduced are not going down well with some insiders who are benefiting from the status quo. The publication is designed to deceive the public about the true state of affairs in AEDC.
For the purpose of addressing the specifics of the publication we hereby sincerely show the true picture of all that they wrote about.

  1. Premium Times alleged that tbs consulting had relationship with KANN in 2013. This is an outright lie because the first ever relationship tbs consulting had with AEDC or KANN was March 2014. The implication of this is that tbs consulting has nothing at all to do with the spending of any part of about N285.5M as alleged. Document to attest this position is existing and available for checking.
  2. It is important to note that there was no way for monumental fraud to have been committed by a consultancy company, in an entity that is being audited by KPMG and the monumental fraud would not have been noted and reflected in the Audit Reports. KPMG is one of the leading audit firms in Nigeria.
  3. There is allegation of loading payroll with inflated wages and salaries based on tbs consultancy recruitment for AEDC in 2014.  tbs consulting did not recruit for AEDC in 2014 and has nothing whatsoever to do with AEDC payroll at any point in time.
  4. Premium Times further alleged that Ms. Mosunmola is a Director in tbs consulting. Ms. Mosunmola was never a Director in tbs consulting but used to be one of our resource people and that is what was on our website. We introduced her in good faith to AEDC based on her competence and experience, to support the reforms going on in AEDC. She was subsequently interviewed by AEDC, found very suitable and employed as a staff of AEDC and not as a representative of tbs consulting. The truth is that Ms. Mosunmola has not worked for tbs consulting or earn income from tbs for the past four years even as a resource person. The CAC documents can be accessed if need be.
  5. Updating our website is based on need to reflect our current realities especially as no update was done for the past 5 years.

With all the explanations above it is very clear that none of the allegations in Premium Times of Friday 16th of October is true as they constitute figment of imagination of the writer or at best hearsay that was not authenticated before publication. The objective is to destroy the reputation of tbs consulting and prevent the adoption of the outcome of the recent recruitment exercise done for AEDC which is part of the change programme.
In the light of the foregoing, tbs consulting vehemently rejects and totally refutes all the libelous statements published against tbs consulting in Premium Times of Friday 16th October, 2015.
Consequently, appropriate and commensurate actions are being taken to ensure that justice is done. Premium Times and its agents must face the consequence of their reckless action.
